Gel Wax Safe Scents

CANDLE COCOON GEL WAX-SAFE FRAGRANCE OILS 

Medium Density Gel Wax can hold 3% - 5% FO. Its FP is 430F.

FLASHPOINT: lowest temperature at which vapors above a volatile combustible substance ignite in air when exposed to flame.

POLARITY: Low-polarity and non-polar oils mix well with mineral oil.

MISCIBILITY:  The ability of a FO and MO to mix together/dissolve completely at any concentration/proportions. 

TEST METHOD: 

25%: 5 g FO + 15 g MO.  If fail, no reason to proceed.

75%:  3 parts FO + 1 part Mineral Oil (MO). 

At both concentrations the mix should not get cloudy, although it may do so momentarily. The mixture must stay clear after sitting for ~5 min. Look for cloudiness, separation line, and beading, all of which indicate that the FO is polar and not suitable for gel wax use.
