Want to make quick and easy melt and pour Easter Egg soaps? We just used left over soap bases that we had on hand. The amounts used will vary and if you melt too much just pour it back into the original container.
What you will need;
Clear Melt and Pour soap base
White Melt and Pour soap base
Egg Mini Cookie Cutter
Scent- Optional
Soap Cutter - straight edge. Or butter knife
Soap Cutter - wavy edge
Oval Silicone Soap Mold
IsoPropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) in a spray bottle
Craft stick, spoon or spatula
1)To make this as simple as possible we just stuck the egg cutter into the white soap base. We then used the straight edge cutter or butter knife to cut around the egg and slice off the part that was hanging over the edge of the egg. Push it out of the cutter and you have the egg.

4) Cut into small cubes with your soap cutter or butter knife. We used about 1/8 of the entire 2 pound package (4oz) to make two soaps. Place in microwave safe bowl.
 |
| Cut Into Chunks about 1" |
 |
| Place Chunks in Microwave Bowl |
5)Heat in microwave for 10 second intervals. Stirring in-between. Usually take 10-20 seconds depending on the size of your soap chunks.
Soap base does not need to be all of the way melted when you remove it from the microwave. It will continue to melt if there are just a few chunks.
At this point you add scent if you like. About a quarter teaspoon (5 drops) per bar. Stir with a craft stick, spoon or spatula.
Squirt egg embed with isopropyl alcohol so that the parts stick. Make sure clear base is not too warm. You do not want to melt your egg. Pour clear soap base around egg.

For more than two decades, Lyschel has been studying the chemistry of candles — not just how they burn, but why they burn the way they do. As the owner of Candle Cocoon, she has personally tested thousands of wick, wax, and fragrance oil combinations, building one of the most accurate fragrance‑specific wick charts in the industry. Her work blends science, safety, and artistry, helping makers understand the “why” behind candle behavior so they can create cleaner, safer, more reliable candles. When she’s not testing wicks, she’s developing high‑purity fragrance oils and teaching makers how to elevate their craft through knowledge, not guesswork.
