Natrasorb® BATH starch powder is a fragrance and oil fixative that is able to absorb and carry large quantities of oils and anhydrous (without water) liquids, such as bath oils so that other dry ingredients remain free flowing and non-clumpy.

The starch is processed in a manner that creates unique 'pockets' that can carry the oils in such a way that the product seems to be dry material.

Natrasorb® BATH starch is hydrophilic (water loving) so that once the starch comes in contact with water, it immediately dissolves, releasing the oils, fragrances and/or emulsifiers and easily dispersing them into the warm water. The all natural starch provides a soft silky feel to the bath water, but does not settle or leave a film.

Derived from the cassava plant, Natrasorb® Bath comes from an all natural source.

Recommended Usage:
Type of application should guide usage. Experiment at varying levels to get the effect you desire.  There are no hard and fast rules.

  • Dry powder formulation or replacing talc - Up to 75% Natrasorb BATH
  • Cream or lotion with silky feel - 8% to 12%. Non-silky feel - 2%-7%.
  • Bath bomb - 1.5% -2.5%.
  • Bath salts - 1% - 2 %  (~1T per 8oz (cup) of salt mix)
  • Rule of Thumb - 2X amount of oil used, by weight.
  • NATRASORB® BATH is able to absorb up to 16% of its weight in mineral oil without any change of appearance, and up to 19% without loss of free flow.
  • The mixture of Natrasorb BATH with oil should not clump when you squeeze it together, but it may be slightly sticky and look like fine bread crumbs. Use caution not to add an excessive amount of Natrasorb BATH as it may cause your entire recipe to become too "sticky" and less free-flowing.

Health and Safety:
Natrasorb® Bath starch is an organic particulate. Although it is
not prone to dusting, use of a dust mask and good ventilation
are recommended. Avoid contact of the powder or dust with
heat, sparks or open flame.

Natrasorb® Bath has not been the subject of animal testing for cosmetic purposes.
