I'm a huge fan of scents that aren't easily guessed. Candle Cocoon has done a magnificent job on this fragrance! When I originally tested Amore Dulce a couple of years ago, the fragrance was giving me a run for my money. I struggled wicking my candle to the point where I just gave up and walked away broken hearted. I found myself missing it dearly because it smells SO incredible to me. Needless to say love found its way back and I bought it again to try, again. I am just so over the moon that I got a full melt pool of liquid wax this time!! (Coconut Wax, 3in diameter straight sided jar, and 2 CDN size 2 wicks). It cured for maybe 18hrs and I'm getting a strong hot throw already. So I can only imagine what a full week will give me. Ahhhh I'm so happy!! This scent is my favorite!
This scent along with Sage & Chamomile smell so good but both of them are giving me a run for my money trying to work in candles. I use coconut83 and CDN wicks while using the recommended fragrance load 3.75%, but these 2 fragrances from here are the only ones that give me issues out of the many others I've tested with. I get a good hot throw with this scent, but just like the other review, the wicking is the problem. The ones I've used never form a full melt pool and the wicks are drowning in wax. I noticed she recommends CD18 for a 3in diameter so I just may try that and hope for the best (not knowing how CD wicks are with coconut wax) since it'll be my final try before giving up. It smells so good though 😩 probably my favorite.
Hi Amy, Glad you loved the scent :) Yep, all scents need different wicks especially when working with concentrated scents. Some need smaller and some need larger. With coconut wax you probably don't need to go up to a CD18.
This was a huge turn-off OOB. I've poured it into wax in hopes that it smells better after cure, and it is mellowing out a bit. My fingers are crossed that this will actually smell better when burned!
Everyone's nose is different so I don't take offense if it is personal preference. But I do want to make sure that you diluted it enough. It is a Super Concentrate and if you use too much it isn't as wonderful. In fact, you will miss a lot of notes using too much of our oils.
It took me a while to try this scent because the photo made me think it might smell like baby products, but it is a lovely, cheerful scent. I think of Amore Dolce and Sultry Angel as being more complex scents - they're very pleasing without being immediately identifiable. I did have a little trouble wicking this scent, and I'm still working on the perfect fit, but I've had a good hot throw in GB 464 despite my candles being a bit overwicked.
