When the Cotton Brazil website states that Brazilian cotton is "completely free from contamination," it´s refers to a quality standard emphasizing the purity of the cotton in terms of its physical and chemical composition, free from physical impurities such as leaf fragments, twigs, undeveloped seeds, or other foreign matter that may be present in less well-processed cotton. Free from contamination also means the absence or very low levels of residues from agrochemicals such as pesticides and fertilizers used during cotton cultivation.
