Citric Acid is a naturally occurring, weak, anhydrous acid that comes from a glucose syrup which is derived from cassava.
Anhydrous Citric Acid is non-toxic with low chemical reactivity. Commonly used in bath and body formulas to neutralize pH, thus making a more balanced product. Also, know to create the fizz in bath bombs. Citric acid is know to be an effective natural preservative.
Common Uses: Skin softening properties to products. Balance the pH of some formulations. Acidulant for flavoring, beverages, food, and as a basic chemical.
