Citronella Java essential oil is derived from the leaves and stems of various species of Cymbopogon otherwise know as lemongrass. It is used extensively in perfumes, soaps, candles, incense, and insect repellents. The chemicals such as citronellal, citronellol, and geraniol are the most sought after in Citronella Java essential oil. In the United States, citronella oil is has been registered since 1948 for use as a insect repellent. The United States Environmental Protection Agency considers oil of citronella as a bio-pesticide, which means it is non-toxic. Also, it has anti-fungal properties and may even help in stress reductions of dogs and people. 100% Essential Oil (EO)
