I was really hoping for a sweet, dessert-like fragrance, but Crushed Strawberry and Rhubarb leaned much more tart and bitter than I expected. The rhubarb note was quite strong, and while some may enjoy that sharper, citrusy profile, it wasn’t the sweet strawberry scent I had in mind. The quality seems fine—it’s just not a good fit for my personal preferences.
Hello Shrone, I completely understand that everyone has their own preferences! I just wanted to check in and make sure you’re using only about 3%, as this is a super concentrate. Using too much may bring out a more bitter note, and I wouldn’t want you to miss out on the full beauty of this incredible scent.
This is not a cloyingly sweet, strawberry-candy scent. This is a juicy, ripe strawberry with the bite of tart rhubarb and green leafy notes. It's excellent in soap on its own - no acceleration, no ricing, slightest discoloration, and good, strong scent retention. But it's amazing when blended, too like with a bit of vanilla or a cake scent for strawberry shortcake. Absolutely delightful!
This smells exactly like Strawberry Rhubarb jelly that my mom makes in spring! Brings back memories of my childhood. Will purchase again!
