We’ve been making our Lemon Blossom vegan soap bars with our tried and true “never fail” recipe for years. This time I decided to try using Candle Cocoon’s Lemon Blossom fragrance oil and for the first time ever, as soon as I mixed in the fragrance oil the batter seized. Somehow I managed to save it…still in the mold, fingers crossed.
Thank goodness I only used a small amount..2% for 2# batch.
I tossed the rest of the bottle and the free sample..not worth the risk.
If you use this in a non soap product the scent is nice, so it would probably be just fine.
Lemon Blossom is always one of the most popular at the market.
Smell so fresh. Putting in wax today.
This is a great straightforward lemon. It's not too harsh or chemical smelling like some lemon scents can be. It's light and fresh with the floral notes rounding it out for a smoother feel.
It is a very bright, zesty lemon scent padded with pure, sugary, sticky sweet, like I was licking my own finger with sticky candy. CT & HT were excellent. Throw was great with wood wick too. I just found it funny that what I smelled didn't align with the fragrance description. At the time of testing, I even went to my backyard to pluck some real lemon blossom to compare. No floral notes went through my nose. I still love it, given that I've been looking very hard for a lemon scent that does not have or remind me of cleaning solution, or any citronella undertone. This is the rare one that meets my needs.
