How to Make Diffuser Oils out of Candle Scent
Share
Diffusers are great! Especially for people that are either fearful of fire or cannot have open flames in an office. What most people don't know is that they can be incredibly easy and inexpensive to make. All it takes is a bottle with a tight neck, the right kind of reeds, high quality candle scent and a diffuser base.
You may be wondering, why not just put the scent directly in the bottle and add the wicks. Well, you can do that but most likely you won't get a lot of scent or the scent will disappear quickly. Diffuser oil works in two ways. First it temporarily binds the scent so that it doesn't immediately evaporate and secondly it gives some scents that are normally heat activated a little extra "push".
We have tested many of our scents with our Candle Cocoon Diffuser base and we find that a 50/50 ratio works best for scent strength and incredible endurance.
