🌿 Who Is Candle Cocoon®?

Candle Cocoon® LLC is a family-run candle supply company built from passion, creativity, and a whole lot of wax. What started as a husband-and-wife team with two little girls (who aren’t so little anymore!) has grown into a vibrant operation with a dedicated staff who love serving our customers just as much as we do. (Seriously—try getting Grace off the phone or Janna out the door when they’re talking candle supplies!)

My journey began with a childhood fascination for fire. I was that kid dipping fingers into melted wax at restaurants, and my mom used to joke that I’d become a candle maker someday. She was right. I’ve been crafting candles since 1993—back when there was no technical guidance, just trial, error, and a love for the flame.

By 1997, I started selling professionally and quickly realized that scent was everything. But the fragrances available were flat, weak, and uninspired. I refused to settle. I demanded the best, even when manufacturers told me no one would pay more than $6 a pound for wholesale oils. Eventually, I found scent partners who believed in quality as much as I did—and I’ve worked with them ever since.

Today, Candle Cocoon® draws from over a dozen fragrance manufacturers. Our scents are phthalate-free, solvent-free, and intensely concentrated. That means better scent throw, less soot, and healthier candles. We test for years to perfect each fragrance, and we never compromise on quality.

As my obsession with scent grew, so did Candle Cocoon. We expanded from candles into high-end fragrance oils, dyes, soap, and bath & body supplies. Our Flutter Dyes™ are vibrant, easy to use, and leave no residue—plus, a portion of profits supports endangered butterfly habitats. We’re constantly updating our color line to reflect current trends (check out “Brimstone” yellow and “Spicebush” black!).

We’re also committed to sustainability. From reusing shipping materials to sourcing biodegradable shrink wrap, we take environmental stewardship seriously. Aldo Leopold is my hero, and I live just blocks from his former home—so yes, we walk the talk.

Our team is the heart of Candle Cocoon. Grace, our voice on the phones, dove into candle making with lightning speed. Janna, our manager since 2015, keeps me focused (no small feat). Carrisa, are calm in the storm of our Facebook group.  We haven't had a lot of turnover here at Candle Cocoon.  I believe we are up to 28 past and present people!  I want the wonderful people that were a part of our lives to know how much they were and are appreciated and cared about - Christina, Molly, Hannah, Taryn, Valerie, Katelin, Michael, Kevin, Leslie, Julie, Susie, Michelle, Tegan, Sam, Teresa, Finn, Carell, Lucy, Rachael, Paige, Zoe, Sol, Rosie, Siena and Tehya

We’re thrilled to share that Candle Cocoon® LLC officially acquired Northstar Country Candle Co Supply—and we couldn’t be more excited about what this means for our community of makers!

This incredible milestone marks a new chapter in our journey. From our roots as a candle-making shop to becoming a full-scale supply warehouse with a dock, we’ve always believed in pushing boundaries, raising standards, and serving our customers with heart.
