Needed and can be ordered separately;

1-US made 4 lb Aluminum Pour Pot

1-Glass Candle Thermometer (mercury free)

Prep area-Cover with butcher block paper or aluminum foil.  NOT newsprint or wax paper

  1. Arrange 4 votive cups, with pins inside, on a cookie sheet.
  2. Measure 8 oz (1/2lb bag) of wax into a metal pitcher.
  3. Heat the wax to 180-190°F in a double boiler filled with water.  DO NOT use direct heat as wax can combust!!
  4. Add ~1/2 bottle of fragrance mix/stir vigorously for about two minutes to fully incorporate scent into wax.  (see the wax coming up the sides it is being mixed so quickly.  You need to get the scent off the bottom)  (You may need to warm wax with a heat gun if it starts to freeze) (DO NOT ADD DYE YET)

      5. Pour small amount of scented and undyed wax into bones tray.

         6. Wait until fully cool and remove from mold.  If there is extra build up you can           gently scrape with a fingernail to remove.

7.          8. ADD DYE NOW.  (3 Flutter Dyes per 8oz bag for black color) Stir until blended.    Pour wax mixture into votive cup.  Wax should form a “bubble” over the rim of the cup.

     9. Allow to ALMOST fully cool on top.  Place bone pieces on top of candle or even poking into candle.  Or use a heat gun or blow dryer to warm top and place pieces.

     10. Fully cool.

     11. Once the wax has cooled remove the candle from the molds.

     12. Push out wick pin.

**Caution!  Surface damage may occur!  We used an old piece of wood.

    13. Insert wick thru hole.

    14. Cure (let sit) for 2 days before burning for best scent throw.

16. Burn votive in tight fitting votive holder!
