Cocoa Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base – SFIC

Our Cocoa Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base is a creamy white glycerin soap base enriched with 5% unrefined cocoa butter. It produces a rich, conditioning lather with a naturally subtle chocolate aroma — perfect for luxurious bar soaps, embeds, and specialty formulations.

This base melts smoothly, accepts fragrance and color beautifully, and is ideal for both beginners and experienced makers.

Coconut Oil Sustainable Palm Oil Safflower Oil Glycerine (kosher, vegetable origin) Cocoa Butter (unrefined) Purified Water Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent) Sorbitol Propylene Glycol (from vegetable glycerine) Sorbitan Oleate (emulsifier) Oat Protein Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener)

All ingredients are biodegradable and the formula contains no SLS or SLES.


⚙️ About Process Aids

SFIC may use small, non‑essential process aids as needed to improve remelting, re‑batching, and final appearance. These may include Bio Propylene Glycol (from vegetable glycerine). Excluded from our FREE soap bases: Cocamidopropylamine Oxide • Disodium Sulfosuccinate • Cocamidopropyl Betaine


❄️ Cold‑Weather Shipping Note

Because we ship from Wisconsin, your soap base may arrive brittle from freezing. This is normal and does not affect performance. Always test a small amount before making a full batch.

If brittle from freezing:

  • Single Pour Bar Soap: Use as‑is. Bars will be harder and longer‑lasting. Optionally add 3–5% water or glycerine to restore original texture.

  • Loaf Soap (to be sliced): Add 7–10% water or glycerine for smooth slicing. Higher amounts can be used — test before adding fragrance or color.

Adding more glycerine increases sweating but also boosts moisturization.

🧼 How to Use

  1. Melt the soap base gently in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Add your favorite colors, fragrances, or additives.
  3. Pour into molds and allow to cool completely.
  4. Unmold and enjoy your custom, creamy goat milk soap!
